Charles Courtney Curran | American Impressionist Painter
Charles Courtney was an American Impressionist painter and was born in 1861 and later in 1881 moved to place called Sandusky, Ohio. He studied for one year at design school in Cincinnati named Cincinnati School of Design and afterwards, started a promising and brilliant career and got himself enrolled in the National Academy of Design after moving to New York City in 1882. He has studied and enhanced his art style with some of the well known painters named Jules-Joseph Lefebvre, Benjamin Constant and Henri Lucien Doucet. He also studied at the Academie Julian in Paris. Charles became a teacher at the Pratt Institute, New York, The Cooper Union and the National Academy. He later breathed his last the year 1942.
