Putin issued huge war warning as Ukraine plots to blow up vital Crimea Bridge | World | News
Ukraine has suggested it will destroy the Crimean Bridge in an “inevitable” attack on the highly-coveted Russian asset.
The Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (GUR), implied it was plotting an attack which would be its third on the bridge.
An anonymous GUR official told The Guardian that they “will do it in the first half of 2024”, and already have “most of the means to carry out this goal.”
The outlet also claimed that this is part of a plan approved by Volodymyr Zelensky to “minimize” Russian naval assets in the Black Sea.
They added that Western aid would help Ukrainian efforts to destroy the the Kerch Bridge, including Germany‘s long-range Taurus KEPD-350 missile, which Zelensky has repeatedly asked for but been denied.

Head of the GUR Kyrylo Budanov previously assured he would oversee strikes on Russian targets in Crimea, specifically the Kerch Bridge. He spoke of a “serious operation” that would be launched soon.
Destroying the bridge could force Russian troops to use the road through Kherson and Zaporizhzhia in the partially-occupied south of Ukraine.
Since capturing the city of Avdiivka, previously a Ukrainian stronghold, Russian troops have maintained their offensives and steadily gained momentum, but removing access to the Kerch Bridge would significantly impair this.
