Chelsea have been given the green light to pursue a deal for Victor Osimhen after Napoli club president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed the striker will leave the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in the summer.
The Blues have been linked with the 25-year-old, who is said to have a £112million release clause in his contract, while Arsenal also reportedly hold an interest.
“This (Osimhen’s exit) was already known since this summer, our negotiations [over the new contract] were friendly, otherwise it would not have been so long,” De Laurentiis explained. “We knew he would go to Real Madrid, PSG or a top English club.”
