Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd eye striker, Chelsea make £25m approach, Spurs lead race | Football | Sport
Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Blackburn playmaker Adan Wharton.
According to The Sun, The Blues were impressed by the 19-year-old’s performance against them in the Carabao Cup earlier this season and have continued to monitor his progress since.
Crystal Palace and Brighton are among a host of clubs to have been linked with Wharton previously, with Blackburn willing to entertain offers of at least £25million.
The fee may not be out of reach for Chelsea given that they have kept a lid on their spending so far this month, but the player would need to receive assurances of game time before putting pen to paper to head to Stamford Bridge.
