Kate Middleton fans all saying the same thing as Brits divided over royal announcement | Royal | News

fans have all been saying the same thing on social media as ITV’s Good Morning Britain (GMB) shared a poll on their X page asking if the Palace should address rumours surrounding .

It was announced by Kensington Palace on January 17 that the Princess of Wales had undergone a successful procedure on her abdomen the day before and would be recovering in hospital before returning home to Windsor to recuperate.

Kate has not been seen in public since Christmas Day at Sandringham last year, with the Palace confirming that following medical advice she would not be back at work until after Easter, at the earliest.

However her retreat from the public eye has sparked many conspiracy theories, with GMB asking the question on their X account: “As conspiracy theories continue to grow online should the palace explain Princess Kate’s illness?”

The results showed a striking divide over the prospect of a Royal Family announcement, as 42.8 percent said yes while the majority, 57.2 percent, opted for no, with many royal fans calling for Kate to be left in peace as she recovers, with the Palace lack week clarifying that she is continuing to do “well” after the planned operation.

One commented: “Why can’t she be ill in private??? How would everyone knowing what is wrong help her? Leave her to get better!!”

Another added: “She will be back when she has recovered, she’s ok and at home what else do we need to know?”, while a third said: “Never – none of anyone’s business.”

One account pointed out: “No the palace don’t have to explain Princess Kate’s illness. And they did say at the beginning that, Princess Kate will most probably won’t be available till Easter.”

Meanwhile lots of other fans wished a speedy recovery for Princess Kate, with one writing: “Best wishes and get well soon.” While a another chimed in: “People really miss her – get well soon Kate.”

In a statement released the day after Kate’s operation Kensington Palace said: “The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for 10 to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.

“Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.”
