England ace Ellis Genge stirred up plenty of talk on social media recently after making an outlandish claim on the ‘For The Love Of Rugby’ podcast.

The prop was quizzed by current teammate Dan Cole and former colleague Ben Youngs.

During a very brief Q&A, Genge was asked by Youngs what position he would love to play for one match, to which the England star jokingly replied: “Probably wing. I just think you’ve just got to catch the ball and beat one person. I just don’t think it sounds that hard.”

Genge promptly laughed alongside co-host Cole, before adding: “They seem to make it look really hard. I think if I had to catch someone, I had 10 metres either side of them and actually had to beat them, I think I’d do it.

“I think if you’re much quicker than them, run round them. And if you’re much bigger than them, run over them.”
