The beautiful UK beach loved by the super rich that’s been named world’s best | Travel News | Travel

A beautiful in the UK with golden sand and pristine blue water has been named the most sustainable in the world.

Sandbanks in has made it to the list of the world’s best for its commitment to sustainability.

The revelation was made in the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Awards 2024 in which were reviewed based on beauty, things to do on them, and the overall feel of the place.

Sharing the reviews about the beach, Tripadvisor wrote: “Sandbanks Beach is a family-friendly spot with soft, golden sand, clear water, and incredible views. It’s a popular beach, but even during peak season there’s plenty of space.

“Try some water sports, go horseback riding, or bring your dog (it’s pet-friendly with some seasonal restrictions) and take a walk on the shore. There are plenty of food options, from beachside cafes to nearby restaurants, plus parking’s a breeze.”

Sandbanks sits at the end of a long peninsula that runs into the sea at the mouth of Poole Harbour. The location means visitors can hop over the headland to another beach.

The beach is not only popular among tourists but is also among the world’s most expensive places to live. Sandbanks is rich – one street has a row of houses worth upwards of £90million.

It has consistently maintained its pristine beauty and impressively earned recognition from the European Commission for its exceptional cleanliness standards.

The beach has proudly held the prestigious international Blue Flag designation for three decades. Despite being voted the country’s top beach, Sandbanks remains uncrowded even during peak summer days, thanks partly to its proximity to numerous other stunning coastal areas.

The Sandbanks Pavilion, nearing its centennial, stands as a historic centrepiece. It features 40 beach huts and two small kiosks, offering refreshments to beach visitors while preserving the area’s natural beauty.

The beach left many travellers impressed with its incredible views.

One user wrote on Tripadvisor: “Just the best beach. Very clean with stunning views. A nice bar with great food The Jazz Bar I think. The beach is not to be missed it really is the highlight.”

A second user commented: “When holidaying in the UK we try to do a different beach each day (weather permitting). Day 2 was sandbanks turn and what a place it was. The beach is stunning!!! Clean and uncrowned-plenty of space for kids to play. The sea was beautiful and the amenities were clean too (which is rare).

“It’s also great to look in awe at the stunning beach front properties that line the sand. We got there by bus and it was very easily accessible. The car parks were full very early on and there is no street parking so I’d advise getting the bus. Small tesco where you can buy your lunch, or a few cafes/restaurants. We were left disappointed with our next beach day trip to Swanage and wished we’d have stayed in Sandbanks instead!!”
