Israel’s devastating airstrike on Hezbollah base in Syria as war with Hamas intensifies | World | News

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it carried out strikes on two Syria army sites in southern Syria on Tuesday.

In a statement, the IDF said it struck two sites belonging to the Syrian Army, where members of the Lebanese Hezbollah group were operating.

Footage published by the IDF shows the airstrikes, but it did not elaborate on where the targets were located.

The IDF said it “holds the Syrian regime accountable for all activities which take place within its territory and will not allow for any attempted actions which could lead to the entrenchment of Hezbollah on the Syrian front.”

Daily Express US has reached out to the IDF for more information.

This recent attack comes after IDF fighter jets struck Hezbollah targets in the Baalbek area in nothern Lebanon earlier today, which spurred Hezbollah to launch rocket and missile strikes towards the Golan Heights.

The outbreak of the cross-border violence was precipitated by the IsraelHamas war in Gaza, which was initiated by Hamas – an Iranian-backed ally of Hezbollah – on October 7.
