Sky is back with new MacBook deal that Apple can’t match – it ends soon

Right now, you can head to Sky’s website and pick up the older 13-inch M1 MacBook Air for just £19 per month. That’s a saving of more than £130 over the term of the deal.

That low price is based on a 48-month contract although Sky will allow you to swap it for something new after just 36 months. Along with that hardware discount, Sky will also throw in a 100MB SIM card for free as well. That means you can check your emails on the move.

The total price over 4 years – including a £2 upfront fee – is £914 which is over £70 less than Apple’s RRP.

The only thing to be aware of is that this deal includes that much older MacBook (a device Apple has now removed from its stores) that has now been superseded by the refreshed M2 model and the latest M3-powered laptop.

Both of those devices get a new look, faster processors, better web camera and an improved display.

That said, the M1 machine is still a very capable device and is the last Air to feature the iconic wedge-shaped look.

It also offers up to 18 hours of battery life, a True Tone display that adapts depending on your surroundings and there’s a decent webcam and Touch ID fingerprint scanner. You also get Apple’s market-leading backlit keyboard and Force Touch trackpad.

As we mentioned earlier Apple won’t match this offer as it no longer stocks this M1 laptop and Sky clearly has a limited supply with the firm saying, “Hurry, gets yours before it’s gone!”

Other retailers, including Amazon, still have the M1 MacBook available with prices starting from £829 – that’s around £90 cheaper than Sky but you have to pay in one lump sum rather than splitting the cost over 48 months.
