New Jersey earthquake: Moment musician rocked by mega 4.8 tremor ‘I got it on camera!’ | US | News
This is the moment a musician practising chords on camera found himself caught in the middle of an earthquake that rocked the east coast today.
The guitarist, named Jared, was relaxing on his couch in Bridgewater, New Jersey, when the 4.8 magnitude tremor struck.
It was felt in at least four different states, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Philadelphia and Massachusetts.
In the video, captioned ‘Can’t believe I got it on camera,’ violent shaking stops Jared. He then asks: “What the f*** was that?”
The quake was also felt by Daily Express US reporter Isabelle Durso, who said: “My whole building started shaking super violently, some of our food fell off the shelves. It was really scary. All my friends in NYC felt it, and my family in North Jersey felt it, and in Connecticut and Boston. I’ve never experienced something like that before.”

In midtown Manhattan, the usual cacophony of traffic grew louder as motorists blared their horns on momentarily shuddering streets.
Some Brooklyn residents heard a booming sound and their building shaking. In an apartment house in Manhattan’s East Village, a resident from more earthquake-prone California calmed nervous neighbors.
People in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Connecticut and other areas of the Northeast reported shaking. Tremors lasting for several seconds were felt over 200 miles away near the Massachusetts-New Hampshire border.
