The full field for the Grand National has now been confirmed, with last year’s favourite Corach Rambler heading the market for trainer Lucinda Russell. Thirty-four horses will take to the track on April 13 for the Aintree showpiece race, a reduction on last year’s field of 40.

Several runners in the field will have had their preparation for the race interrupted last month when the annual running of the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase was cancelled on day two of the Cheltenham Festival. The likes of Coko Beach, Delta Work and Galvin were all set to compete in the race but significant rainfall saw the Jockey Club rule that the race would be abandoned.
