Grand National 2024 runners confirmed with full 34-horse list as Aintree Festival begins | Racing | Sport
The full field for the Grand National has now been confirmed, with last year’s favourite Corach Rambler heading the market for trainer Lucinda Russell. Thirty-four horses will take to the track on April 13 for the Aintree showpiece race, a reduction on last year’s field of 40.

Vanillier finished well over the 4m 2f trip to grab second-place last year, and Gavin Crowmell’s stable star is also fancied to go well on Saturday. I Am Maximus appears to be Willie Mullin’s most-fancied runner in the race, with Paul Townend taking the ride.
Kitty’s Light, who won the 2023 Scottish Grand National, has also managed to sneak into the race after Gordon Elliott opted not to declare Conflated, in the one late change made to the field on Thursday morning. The 34-runner field is as follows…

Several runners in the field will have had their preparation for the race interrupted last month when the annual running of the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase was cancelled on day two of the Cheltenham Festival. The likes of Coko Beach, Delta Work and Galvin were all set to compete in the race but significant rainfall saw the Jockey Club rule that the race would be abandoned.
