‘I’m 48 – this simple make-up routine takes 10 years off your face’

A menopause expert has revealed her “easy” make-up routine to help make you look “flawless” at whatever age. Meagan Anderson shared her 10 minute anti-ageing make-up hack for women over 40 via social media platform TikTok.

As we get older our skin will start to change, with the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and sagging. While this happens to all of us, there is a multi-billion pound industry built around anti-ageing beauty products including moisturisers and creams.

And for those not satisfied with the results of these products there is a growing market for anti-ageing cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections.

However, your efforts to look youthful don’t have to be so extreme. One expert revealed there is a way to appear younger using less invasive methods.

Meagan Anderson, 48, who is known better on social media as Meagan Online, demonstrated her age-defying make-up routine via a TikTok video.

Speaking to her 347,000 followers she said: “Let me show you how I took 10 years off my face in less than 10 minutes with this super simple make-up hack.

“Today we’re going to do a little under painting tutorial. This is definitely a trust-the-process kind of deal because it gets kind of janky along the way.”

Her routine involved applying contour high on the cheekbones, around the jawline and on the nose.

“Trust the process,” she said. “So once you got your contour in place we brought the cheekbones higher, we gave ourselves a jawline, warmed up the outer of the face and you’re going to come in and you’re going to bring in the highlighter.”

Meagan then placed a dot of highlighter in the corner of the eyes, some between the eyebrows, on the bridge of the nose, the middle of the chin and under the cheeks.

She said: “You’re going to want to place it everywhere that you want to bring light to.

“So, definitely going to be the centre of your face. Down the bridge if your nose. Right over your lip. And then I also use it to clean up that contour.

Next she used liquid blush and placed it above her cheeks.

To finish she applied foundation evenly across most of her face and blended it out with a sponge.

“I’m bouncing it gently and I’m making sure not to pull the colour where it was deposited,” Meagan said.

She added: “You get just this really natural, subtle, uplifted, contoured glow. I literally took 10 years off my face.”

Her followers were impressed with the results. One commented: “I just tried this – cannot believe the difference it makes doing it this way!” Another said: “Looks so pretty and natural! Will definitely try it out.”
