Princess Kate has issued a touching thank you to royal fans who sent their well wishes while the royal mother of three undergoes cancer treatment.

The short note reads: “Thank you for your kind well wishes to Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales. 

“Your thoughtful gesture is very much appreciated.”

During an emotional address via a video shared by Palace on March 22, the Princess of Wales revealed that she was in the early stages of treatment.

Addressing the nation, Kate also said: “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London. And at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”

Princess Kate also said that it has “taken time” to explain her diagnosis to her three children — Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five — appropriately and “to reassure them that I’m going to be OK.”
