Meghan Markle’s curtsey dubbed ‘iconic’ as the internet raves over her mastery of the move | Royal | News
Meghan Markle described her first time meeting Queen Elizabeth II and doing a very low curtsy. Now, a TikTok user has put together a reel of her best curtsies and it’s gone viral.
The reel only includes three photos, but that was enough to grab people’s attention because the video has amassed 331,000 views, 19,000 likes and 500 comments.
Two of the photos were taken on Christmas Day, in 2017 and in 2018, and at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.
In the 2017 photo, Meghan is seen slightly bending her knee, with her eyes down, and she appears to be smiling a little bit.

In the 2018 photo, the Duchess is dressed in navy blue from head-to-toe, and she bends her knee a little bit more, putting her foot out further and leaning into it a bit more.
In the third photo, taken in 2022, Meghan was seen bowing before Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin, following her death on September 8. In this photo, it appears Meghan seems to have mastered the curtsy, with her right foot forward and her knee bent. Her posture is straight, and her head is down, and her arms to the side.
The TikTok users turned to the comments section and some of them agreed that the photo of Meghan at the late Queen’s funeral is their favourite, writing comments like “The 1st curtsy is everything” and “The first cursory is iconic.”
Some gave her praise for learning and finetuning the royal ritual: “The things this beautiful woman has done for the love of this man.”
