Prince Harry given brutal dressing-down by Queen’s son | Royal | News

The beloved son of Queen Camilla is “sending a message” to Prince Harry with his upcoming book, according to a royal author.

Tom Parker Bowles, the son of the Queen from her previous marriage with Andrew Parker Bowles, has penned a new book titled Cooking and the Crown: Royal Recipes from Queen Victoria to King Charles III.

While this work, scheduled for publication in the UK in September, doesn’t hide there is a link between the Royal Family and its author, royal expert Phil Dampier does not expect to see any “dirty linen” to be washed in public through this book.

Drawing a parallel between this upcoming book and Spare, the Duke of Sussex’s biography published in early 2023, the commentator told Fabulous: “Tom is very much supporting and celebrating the monarchy, and would never do anything to damage it.

“He is sending a message that you can talk about the monarchy in positive terms and not denigrate it as Harry did in Spare.

“Harry washed his dirty linen in public and that is something Tom would never do.”

Mr Parker Bowles has likely been privy to “so many bits of inside information that others would kill for” over the years, including details on King Charles and Queen Camilla’s relationship, Mr Dampier argued.

However, he added: “But he has remained discreet and would obviously never do anything to upset his mother, who trusts him totally.”

Rather than casting a negative light on the Royal Family, Mr Parker Bowles has in the past come out to defend his beloved mother.

In 2023, the food writer and journalist defended the Queen against claims she has an “end game” in mind with her relationship with the now monarch.

Appearing on the News Agents podcast, he said: “I think change happens but I don’t care what anyone says – this wasn’t any sort of end game. She married the person she loved and this is what happened.”

These remarks were perceived as countering the blistering allegations levelled at Queen Camilla by Prince Harry in Spare and in interviews he carried out to promote its launch.

Speaking with US journalist Anderson Cooper for CBS’ 60 Minutes, Harry claimed that, after the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, Camilla “began playing the long game: a campaign aimed at marriage and eventually the crown”.
