The 15 best cities in Europe for food have been revealed and it comes as no surprise that six of those are in the same country. From delicious pizzas to aromatic wines, these cities offer a range of options for the foodies. 

Of the 15 cities on the list compiled by a food blogger eatingwitheurope, six of them are in Italy, two each in France and Spain. 

The top city on the list is San Sebastian in Spain which is known as Donastia by its local Basque residents. It is known as the foodie capital of Europe as it boasts more Michelin stars per square meter than almost anywhere else in the world. 

Next on the list in London that is popular for having everything for a foodie. From fine dining to great pub meals, to a never-ending array of international street food, the English city has it all.

The city also boasts about 65 Michelin-starred restaurants, with top chefs like Clare Smyth (trained by Gordon Ramsay) and Jason Atherton.

In Italy, cities such as Florence, Modena, Rome, Venice, Naples and Palermo have been named as the best cities for food. 

Italy’s cuisine is deeply rooted in its regional diversity and each region of Italy has its own traditional dishes, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
